Meet Dr. Jamie Green, D.C.
I was given a very precious gift that I was not going to waste for a second.
I grew up in a very small town 45 miles north of Pittsburgh, PA, where my entire extended family lived within a few short miles of each other. Being a very ambitious college-bound young girl, I knew there was somewhere else that I needed to be. I traveled 6 hours from home to East Stroudsburg University in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. This was not an easy journey for me or my family, but all of us grew from the experience.
Initially, I set out to become a marine biologist, very much determined that I was to train dolphins at Sea World as a career. I quickly learned that my heart was just not into this decision. I continued my career search through my years in college.
My Father’s Experience with Chiropractic
Meanwhile, back home my father was going through a life-changing experience. He was injured at work and herniated two of his discs in his neck. The doctors told him he needed surgery and there was a greater than 50% chance of becoming paralyzed from the surgery due to the severity and location of the herniations. This is not a gamble that my father was willing to make. So, he searched for alternatives. In our small hometown, his options were limited. The local chiropractor was his only choice, and thank goodness he was there.
After some pretty extensive treatments, the feeling in his arm began to return and the knife like pain in his neck started to become tolerable. My father obviously declined the surgery and continued on the chiropractic route much to the dismay of his MD’s. To this day, my father has not had surgery and is living a normal, virtually pain-free life.
All of this was going on while I was searching for my destiny in life. It was right in front of me the whole time! When graduation approached, I needed to make some pretty heavy decisions on what to do with my degree in biology. My father’s experience prompted me to research chiropractic schools. At the time, Life University was the largest and most reputable in the world. I applied and a few short months later was off to Marietta.
A Chiropractic Education
Supported by my wonderful husband Tim, I was able to give my education 100%. After just one quarter at Life University, I knew that I was on the right path.
I continuously heard from my professors that “You will know when you get IT.” I was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, but scared to death when I first had my hands on someone’s neck. The day that I actually got “IT” was the most remarkable feeling I ever felt in my life. It was an amazing power that I had been given and I needed to share this with the world. I was given a very precious gift that I was not going to waste for a second. The fact that I had the ability to helps someone’s life to change is beyond words.
I have been given the power to heal the body from the inside out without any outside influence. I have been given the power to allow the body to function at its fullest capacity. What better feeling is there?
I purchased Cooperative Chiropractic after graduation knowing in my heart that I was in the right place. I have grown the practice into what it is today by simply sharing my gift and by my wonderful patients sharing their stories with others. My heart and soul are in this practice and my purpose in life is to serve you and your families.

On a Personal Note
I am raising my sons, Tyler James and Dylan Scott, with the chiropractic philosophy. Tyler is so in tune with his body that he tells me when he needs to be adjusted. He has been getting adjusted since the day he was born. He was delivered with the cord wrapped around his neck twice and his little neck certainly needed to be aligned as soon as possible. Not to mention the numerous amounts of times of falling or jumping and jarring his entire spine! Having Tyler James and Dylan Scott has been a life-changing, amazing experience every day of their life. They truly are my driving force and passion.
I receive chiropractic care about once to twice a week depending on what my body is telling me. I work out with a personal trainer two times per week to keep my body fit and functioning at it’s best. My husband, Tim is an advocate of weight lifting and Tyler, my fourteen year old son, enjoys working out with him! In general, I am not an advocate of vaccinations, antibiotics or over the counter pain relievers however, I understand that there is a need for some of the aforementioned from time to time.
Enough about me! How can we help you with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care? Give our Marietta office a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.
